'Stay Connected' is focus of upcoming workshop

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Does technology connect us with other people or actually disconnect us?

A workshop at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Wednesday, April 27, explores what it means to be connected, if being connected really disconnects us, and how we can balance the many distractions we face in the increasingly complex world.

Michelle McLernon, outreach coordinator for the Student Health Center, will present “Stay Connected” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Student Health Center Auditorium.

There is no cost to attend the workshop and anyone may participate.

The Student Health Center’s Wellness Center is sponsoring a series of workshops this spring focusing on a variety of health-related issues. For details and the complete schedule, visit the Student Health Center website at www.shc.siuc.edu or the Community Health Calendar at www.communityhealthcalendar.siuc.edu.
