Media Advisory -- Art Awards
It is one of the most prestigious awards the School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale offers, and the award announcement is always a surprise. Members of the media, including camera crews, photographers and reporters, are welcome to attend the annual Rickert-Ziebold Trust Award competition exhibition and announcement of winners on Monday, April 11, at the Surplus Gallery in the Old Glove Factory at 432 S. Washington Ave. in Carbondale. The finalists will set up their exhibitions in their assigned places on Sunday. The faculty panel of judges makes its inspection on Monday beginning at 9 a.m. The exhibit is open to the public beginning at 11 a.m., and the announcement of winners is at 3:30 p.m. The exhibit will remain open throughout the week.
