‘Love at the Glove’ reception set for Friday
CARBONDALE, Ill. – It’s been a steady thing for 15 years so it must be love -- Love at the Glove at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, that is.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of an SIUC School of Art and Design event loosely connected to Valentine’s Day. Love at the Glove is an annual multi-media art exhibition featuring art from SIUC students, faculty, and the Carbondale area community.
A reception for the short-lived exhibit happens 7-11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at SIUC’s Surplus Gallery, located in the Old Glove Factory (432 S. Washington Ave., Carbondale). Music is by Small Time London Thug and Nighty Night. Admission is $5, or $3 with a canned good donation.
