Housing plans learning system presentations

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The goal of a series of special presentations from University Housing at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is helping students learn more and make better grades.

Donna O. Johnson is the founder of the “Guaranteed 4.0 Learning System” and over the past two decades she’s presented her complete learning approach to students in many venues. She promises students that they will succeed academically with the system of reading, note-taking, reviewing and critical thinking. She’s even backed the offer up with a $100 promise (www.guaranteed4.com).

University Housing will be showing a DVD of her “Guaranteed 4.0” presentation four times in the next couple of weeks, giving people a chance to check out the learning system.

Here’s the schedule and details about who can attend the presentations:

• Wednesday, Feb. 9 -- Eastside Express Dining Room at Grinnell Hall, 8 p.m., open to anyone from SIUC and the community.

• Thursday, Feb. 10 -- Mae Smith Hall multipurpose room, 8 p.m., for students residing in that residence hall.
