Media Advisory -- ‘Give Kids A Smile Day’
The ninth annual “Give Kids A Smile Day” is set for Friday, Feb. 4, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to cover the event, which is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SIUC Community Dental Center, west of the SIU Arena. About 115 students and 19 faculty members in SIUC’s Dental Hygiene Program, along with several volunteer dentists and hygienists, will be available for interviews. They will provide dental care to children between the ages of 2 and 16 who do not receive regular dental treatment and do not have regular access to dental care.
