Recreational Sports-Services honors Johnson
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Jatera Lania Johnson is the newest winner of the Leadership Team Member of the Month honors from Recreational Sports and Services at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Johnson, who has worked for Recreational Sports and Services for about a year and a half, holds a clerical position. She earned the honor for November.
The Chicago native is a senior majoring in criminology and criminal justice with a minor in forensic science. The daughter of Lura and Anthony Knight, Johnson anticipates a spring graduation and then plans to pursue a degree in mortuary sciences and funeral services. Her goal is to become a licensed mortician and embalmer and operate her own funeral home.
“Jatera is very knowledgeable and adapted quickly to her responsibilities. She is a very dedicated, dependable, hard working individual whose attention to detail is outstanding. With her positive attitude, she is motivated to help others and always goes above and beyond what is expected of her,” said Judy Doolin, business office supervisor for RSS.
