Course will help students prepare for ACT exam

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The ACT test is important for high school students and Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Division of Continuing Education is offering a chance to prepare for that big examination.

The ACT Prep Course will meet for six days in early 2011 offering an intensive review to prepare individuals to take the ACT. The class will meet from noon to 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 22, 23, 29 and 30 and Feb. 5 and 6.

The class features test-taking tips and strategies for the ACT as well as a full-length practice exam. It all happens in a small classroom setting on campus.

The $250 registration fee includes: “The Real ACT prep Guide: The Only Official Prep Guide from the Makers of the ACT, “McGraw-Hill’s 10 ACT Practice Tests,” and a study guide that an experienced ACT instructor developed.

Pre-registration is required. No on-site registration will be available.
