Student Center plans Autumn Harvest Brunch

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A tasty celebration of fall, the eighth annual Autumn Harvest Brunch, comes to the Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Oct. 17.

The popular tradition, set during Saluki Family Weekend, is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms. The buffet menu includes walnut and rice salad, sweet onion with sherry rosemary broth, maple and brown sugar glazed carrots, green beans with caramelized onions, pork sausage links, cheesy scramble with potatoes, cider glazed chicken breast, fresh fruit display, pound cake with fruits compote, pumpkin pie, assorted pastries, coffee, tea and juice.

You can purchase tickets in advance or at the door although advance ticket purchases will save you money. In advance, tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for SIUC students and seniors age 60 and older and $7 for children ages 5-10. Purchased at the buffet, tickets are $1 more. As always, children age four and younger dine free.
