Saturday Young Artists Workshop begins Sept. 11
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Young artists in the area may join students from the School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale to share a passion for creating and learning about art in the Saturday Young Artists Workshop, set to begin Sept. 11.
The program brings together future art educators and area students, from kindergarten through high school, to explore and create art on a theme. The theme this fall is “Games and Treasures.”
Students in the workshop will be in different sessions by age. Workshops are in Allyn Building, Room 102. Sessions are set for Sept. 11, 18, 25, and Oct. 2, 9, and 16. The workshop series concludes with an art show, set for 10-11 a.m. on Oct. 23.
Registration is $35 for one student or $60 for two in the same family.
