Media Advisory -- Hovercraft Youth Camp
Reporters, photographers and broadcast news crews are welcome to cover Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s ongoing hovercraft youth camp, which culminates on Friday, June 18, with students test-driving their project.
Organizers updated this year’s camp, designing a full-size operational hovercraft that the students are building each day during the two-week camp. Students, led by staff and faculty in the Department of Technology, will conclude the building phase of the project by Thursday, with the students scheduled to test the vehicle on Friday in and around Campus Lake.
