Media Advisory -- News Conference
Officials from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and the Chinese Consulate-General’s office in Chicago will hold a news conference on Monday, April 19, at 2:30 p.m. to discuss cooperative efforts between SIUC and universities in China. SIUC participants will include Chancellor Samuel Goldman and Shing-Chung “Max” Yen, director of the Materials Technology Center. Last November, Goldman led an SIUC delegation, including Yen, on visits to universities in China.
Reporters, photographers and camera crews are welcome to cover the news conference, scheduled for the Mississippi Room in the Student Center.
