Housing to honor students for academic success
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- University Housing at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will celebrate the academic achievements of its student residents during a special reception.
This year 389 students residing in University Housing earned a grade point average of 3.8 or higher. They will be the guests of honor at the Academic Honors Reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, during the University Honors weekend festivities.
Honored students are welcome to bring family members to the reception as well. The event, complete with refreshments, will be in the lower level of Grinnell Hall.
Staff from University Housing and the SIUC community will be on hand to personally congratulate the students on their significant accomplishment and meet students’ families.
