Student Center to host Autumn Harvest Brunch
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Celebrate cooler weather and the fall season at Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center’s Student Center later this month.
The Autumn Harvest Brunch is set for Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the center’s ballrooms.
The buffet menu features hunter style beef stew, cheese and scallion studded quiche, chicken breasts with grapes and pecans, turkey sausage, cheesy potato gratin and balsamic roasted apples with dried cranberries and blue cheese salad. Sweets include a fresh fruit display, blueberry bread pudding, apple cinnamon crumb crisp and assorted pastries. The meal includes coffee, iced tea and juice as well.
You save money if you buy tickets in advance. They’ll be selling tickets at the door too. In advance, tickets are $7 for children ages 5-10, $12 for SIUC students and senior citizens and $13 for adults. The cost is $1 higher at the door. As always, children age four and younger eat free.
