Media Advisory -- ISBDC Celebration
In honor of the Illinois Small Business Development Center’s 25th anniversary, a reception is set for 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to cover the event at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center, 150 E. Pleasant Hill Road in Carbondale.
There will be a short program at 5 p.m., including remarks by SIU President Glenn Poshard. Guests of honor for the event include officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and SIUC. In addition, clients of the center will showcase their products and services, in some cases offering samples.
The ISBDC works with about 350 clients throughout the region each year, providing a variety of free counseling services and resources for businesses of all sizes and with varying markets.
