Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp set at SIUC
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is bringing back the internationally acclaimed Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp for the 2009 summer camp season.
This year’s camp will be June 15-19 at Stehr Field on the SIUC campus. Players in first through fourth grades will attend camp from 9 a.m.-noon each day while the camp runs from 1 to 4 p.m. for players in grades 5–12.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp focuses on a framework of character development based on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Players will receive instruction in key techniques and technical components of soccer. They’ll also learn about the geography, traditions and culture of great soccer-playing countries.
The camp fee is $122 for registrations received by June 5. The cost is $10 more for registrations received after the June 5 early registration deadline. Registration fees include instruction and a camp T-shirt and soccer ball.
