SIUC plans academic, athletic camps for summer

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Division of Continuing Education will once again offer youths a chance to participate in academic and athletic camps during summer 2009.

Young people in grades 1-12 can enjoy a wide variety of daytime and overnight camps with registration fees beginning at $75. The 2009 camp season begins June 1 and runs through the end of July.

Camp offerings include the popular “Summer Wings” aviation camp, “Kid Architecture” camp sessions for various ages of children and teens, Saluki baseball, Saluki Swim, Eco-U and much more. Additions to the summer 2009 schedule include an engineering camp and an equine science camp.
