Media Advisory -- News Conference
Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to cover a news conference set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, to learn results of a poll assessing the performance of state government. The news conference will take place at the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Speakers at the news conference will be: Mike Lawrence, institute director, and Charles Leonard, institute visiting professor who supervised the poll.
The statewide survey of 800 registered voters focused on government performance on the state budget, priorities for budget cuts, identifying sources of new revenue, and a number of current policy issues in Illinois.
