'Process, Performance, Projection' set for April 16

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Opening night is the only night for the annual "Process, Performance, Projection" exhibition at the Surplus Gallery at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The sixth annual event begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at the Surplus Gallery in the Glove Factory, 432 S. Washington Ave. Carbondale. The exhibit showcases the work of 19 artists of all varieties from SIUC's artistic community. Representative departments include the School of Art and Design, School of Music, and the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts, with both faculty and students contributing to the exhibit.

Art exhibits run the gamut of interactive and participatory installation pieces to musical performance and video. Performances are held on the hour, beginning at 6 p.m., with the last performance scheduled for 9 p.m.

Admission is free.
