School Administrators' Legal Roundtable is Oct. 10
CARBONDALE, Ill. – The 11th Annual School Administrators' Legal Roundtable is coming to the Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale Oct. 10. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with refreshments served. The program wraps up at 3:05 p.m.
Rich Haglund, general counsel for the Tennessee State Board of Education, will present the morning keynote address, "Law & Ardor." Martin L. Hickman, executive director of the Illinois High School Association, will deliver the luncheon address, "A Look in the Future."
The day will also include sessions by an array of speakers pertaining to the Open Meetings Act, strategies and techniques of collective bargaining, updated school administration statutes and new special education regulations with regard to class size, work load and the impact on school management.
