SIUC promotes fitness with DanceSport classes

CARBONDALE, Ill. – DanceSport is an up-tempo dance program featuring rhythmic movements, jumps, and training exercises designed to help loosen muscles, help prevent injuries, improve athleticism, strength and dancing ability while providing dancing thrills. Southern Illinois University Carbondale will sponsor a DanceSport class for adults and youth age 9 years and older.

The Division of Continuing Education program will meet 7-8 p.m. on Wednesdays Sept. 12-Dec. 5 at Davies Gym on the SIUC campus. Participants should wear loose clothing, flexible footwear and come prepared to participate in a class that will get their adrenaline racing.
