Student Center to host Mother's Day brunch
The Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host a Mother's Day brunch from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Sunday, May 13, in the ballrooms.The entire family can join in dining on glazed ham, herb and garlic chicken, spinach and mushroom frittata, green leaf salad with parmesan vinaigrette, creamy pasta salad, twice-baked potato casserole, marinated vegetable salad, cider-glazed carrots, sautéed green beans, buttery croissants, fresh herb rolls, chocolate lover's cheese pie, coconut cream pie, blueberry cake, and sliced fruit served up with gourmet coffee, iced tea and assorted juices.
Tickets are available in advance by calling 618/453-3478 or visiting the central ticket office on the second floor of the SIUC Student Center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Advance tickets are $6 for children age 10 and under, $11 for SIUC students and senior citizens and $12 for the general public. Children age 5 and younger dine free. Ticket prices at the door the day of the brunch are a dollar higher.
