Media Advisory – Maya Angelou
Members of the media planning to cover Maya Angelou's 7:30 p.m. appearance at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center on Wednesday, May 2, should plan to arrive by 7 p.m. There will be an area inside the ballrooms reserved so photographers and camera crews have an unobstructed view of the stage. Please remember that still photography, videotaping and audio taping are permitted only during the first five minutes of her presentation.
The Student Programming Council, which is sponsoring Angelou's appearance, asks that members of the media check in at the southeast entrance of the Student Center next to the auditorium on the second floor. Press kits will be available there.
