by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. –Registration is under way for an annual lenders forum set for Tuesday, May 1, at John A. Logan College in Carterville. Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Illinois Small Business Development Centers, the event begins with registration and continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by noon.

"This seminar provides critical information and tips for commercial lenders about how to apply for and obtain federal and state financing for their small business clients," said Robyn Laur Russell, director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. "This session is a great way for bankers to interface with the agencies represented and take back information they can market to their customers about the loan programs. The ISBDC uses this interactive session to promote our business development services to the lenders, in the hope they will send quality referrals to our centers."

There is a $25 registration fee. For more information or to register contact the ISBDC at 618/536-2424 or via e-mail at ilsbdc@siu.edu.
