Gift shop in new location in museum

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The University Museum gift shop at Southern Illinois University Carbondale has a new home. The store is now in the South Hall of the museum, which is in Faner Hall on the SIUC campus.

Dona R. Bachman, director of the University Museum, promises the public will continue to find a wide selection of jewelry, note cards, children’s items and unique gifts such as SIU cookie cutters commissioned by the Friends of the Museum, chocolate truffles, chop sticks and masks. Gift certificates are also available.

Hours at the University Museum and museum store are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The museum and store will be closed during the University’s spring break, March 10-18. The museum is free and open to the public.
