SIUC offers class in Chinese language, culture

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering a rare opportunity to learn basic Chinese language and culture.

The course is designed to provide instruction at a reasonable pace over the duration of its eight sessions to familiarize attendees with the language spoken by 1.3 billion people. It is sure to be fun, interesting and easy to understand.

Chinese for Beginners will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, March 1-April 26 in Pulliam Hall, Room 112 on the SIUC campus.
