SIUC to offer English lessons during spring semester

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale this spring semester is offering a course titled, "Speaking and Listening in English as a Second Language," which provides an opportunity to practice speaking English with others.

The orientation class is set for noon on Wednesday, Jan.24 in room 3514, Faner Hall, on the SIUC campus. The first class is an important informational session and attendance is recommended.

Classes will meet for 50 minutes starting at noon Monday through Friday throughout the entire spring semester, ending May 4.

Students taking this class should have a basic knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary. Deadline to register is Jan.26, with a fee of $50.
