SIUC sets track and field clinic

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Saluki Track and Field Clinic will be held this January to offer participants help in improving their skills and learning new ones. Specialization of the clinic will be in the long, triple and high jump, pole vault, shot put and discus. Junior High and Senior High School male and female students who want to improve and learn new skills in the jumping and throwing events listed above should attend.

These clinics will be held Jan. 13-14 at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Recreation Center. The fee is $75 for each session.

On Jan. 13, the clinic will focus on throwing events and pole-vaulting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The second day, Jan.14, will focus on jumps, sprints and hurdles from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
