Tailgate planned prior to Salukis-Redbirds game
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki football fans can enjoy a pre-game tailgate and watch their team battle an interstate Gateway Conference rival.
SIUC faces Illinois State on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Normal. The SIU Alumni Association is inviting alumni, students and friends of the University to a pre-game tailgate. Guests will gather at noon on the Redbird Tent Zone, north of Hancock Stadium. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
The menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, chicken breast, potato salad, baked beans, cookies, and beverages.
Cost to attend the tailgate and game is $25 per person for Association members; $30 for non-members. Tailgate-only tickets are $15 per person for members; $20 for non-members. Game tickets can be picked up at the pre-game tailgate. Tickets that are not picked up by the conclusion of the tailgate will be taken to the public will-call window.
SIU Alumni Association membership is open to alumni, students and friends of the University. Annual alumni individual membership is $40. Individual life alumni membership is $500 and installment plans are available. Current students can join the Alumni Association for a special annual rate of $15.
