Alumni tailgate planned for Indiana game
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki football fans can socialize and watch their team face an opponent from the powerful Big Ten Conference.
SIUC faces Indiana University on Saturday, Sept. 16, in Bloomington, Ind. The SIU Alumni Association is inviting alumni, students and friends of the University to a pre-game tailgate. Guests begin gathering at 11:45 a.m. (CST) on the corner of 17th & Fee, south of Memorial Stadium. Game time is 3 p.m.
The menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, grilled chicken breast, potato salad, baked beans, and beverages.
Cost to attend the tailgate and game is $50 per person for Association members; $60 for non-members. Tailgate-only tickets are $15 per person for members; $25 for non-members. Game tickets can be picked up at the pre-game tailgate. Tickets that are not picked up by the conclusion of the tailgate will be taken to the public will-call window.
The deadline to purchase the tailgate and game package is Aug. 25. Tailgate-only tickets must be reserved by Sept. 8.
SIU Alumni membership is open to alumni, students, and friends of the University. Annual alumni individual membership is $40. Individual life alumni membership is $500 and installment plans are available. Current students can join the Alumni Association for a special annual rate of $15.
