by K.C. Jaehnig

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Ruth Anne Rehfeldt, associate professor in the Rehabilitation Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, will serve as editor for The Psychological Record, a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles on theory, research, historical developments and current findings as well as book reviews. The journal is moving from its current headquarters at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, to SIUC.

A longtime reviewer and editorial board member for The Record, Rehfeldt also serves on the editorial boards of a number of other professional journals, including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, the Journal of Experimental Analysis of Behavior and the Journal of Applied and Interdisciplinary Psychology.

The addition of The Record brings to three the number of national journals edited by Institute faculty. D. Shane Koch edits the Journal of Teaching in the Addictions, a peer-reviewed, biannual publication that serves as the official journal of The International Coalition for Addiction Studies Education. Theodore F. Riggar edits the oft-cited quarterly Journal of Rehabilitation Administration.

Rehfeldt earned her bachelor’s degree in 1993 from the University of Puget Sound and her master’s and doctoral degrees in 1995 and 1998 respectively from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Leading in research, scholarly and creative activities is among the goals of Southern at 150: Building Excellence Through Commitment, the blueprint the University is following as it approaches its 150th anniversary in 2019.
