CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Reporters, photographers and camera crews are invited to cover a news conference today on efforts to keep deer and humans safe on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The news conference is set for 3 p.m. in the Ohio Room at the SIUC Student Center. University officials and scientists will discuss efforts to raise public awareness of deer on campus during fawning season, and a research project in conjunction with that program.
Promoting campus safety is among the goals of Southern at 150: Building Excellence Through Commitment, the blueprint the University is following as it approaches its 150th anniversary in 2019.
