Hillery, the daughter-in-law of Linda S. Martin, the assistant dean in the College of Science at SIUC, earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She will be moving to Fort Campbell, Ky., to await her husband’s return from Iraq. Her husband, Andrew Martin, graduated from SIUC in 2005 with a degree in administration of justice.

Badgley earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. She is the daughter of Kevin and Collette Badgley of Grand Chain (500 W. Second).

Central Illinois connection — Elizabeth M. Hillard of Monticello, left, and Gerri R. Bernard of Arcola graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s College of Science during commencement exercises Saturday, May 13, at Shryock Auditorium. Hillard earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology and plans to work as a researcher for the SIUC Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory. She is the daughter of Edward and Michelle Hillard of Monticello (310 N. Chaucer Blvd.) Bernard earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and plans to pursue a graduate degree in materials science at the University of Michigan. She is the daughter of Tina and Steve Joergens of Arcola (235 Circle Dr.).

It’s finally here — Destiny M.
