Young photographers to exhibit work in Cairo

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Forty middle and high school students from schools in Alexander and Pulaski counties who spent a week taking pictures with disposable cameras will display photographs depicting how they see the world around them in an exhibition opening from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Learning Center, 2403 Walnut St. in Cairo.

The Visions of Nature exhibition, organized by Southern Illinois University Carbondale forestry faculty members and the Saluki Kids' Academy, aims to team SIUC with regional communities and area natural resource educators and managers.
