SIUC offers food sanitation course

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering a food sanitation course for food service students.

The course is an important part of the training necessary for food service managers and personnel. Participants will study food-borne illness and how to prevent its transmission. The class will prepare participants for the Food Service Sanitation Certificate Examination, which will be given in class.

The course will meet 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Feb.18 and Feb. 25 at SIUC's Pulliam Hall, room 118. The fee for the course is $95 and includes all materials.
