Members invited to Chicago theater event
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Members of the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association can purchase tickets to enjoy a reception and Broadway musical performance of "Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz," on Sunday, April 23, in Chicago.
Guests will gather for a reception at 1:15 p.m. in the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre. The reception will include hors d'oeuvres, private full bar service, and dessert; followed by the performance at 2 p.m.
Prices, including the reception, are $99 per person for lower balcony seating; $119 per person for rear orchestra seating.
Due to the popularity of this performance and limited number of tickets, only SIU alumni members can make reservations through Jan. 20. Non-members can begin purchasing tickets the following day. All reservations are due by Feb. 17.
Alumni, students and friends of SIUC are eligible to join the SIU Alumni Association. Annual membership is $40; life membership is $500 with installment plans available. Students can join for $15.
