Mini-workshop on grant writing starts in January

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Division of Continuing Education is offering a mini-course on grants and grant writing starting in January.

The course is appropriate for individuals who want to learn about the process of obtaining grants from government or private organizations. Individuals should be prepared to participate actively in class discussions and to help compose a grant proposal outline.

The course will teach participants how to write a grant proposal, find grant opportunities and how grants are reviewed. Teachers may receive six continuing professional development units for attending this class.

The course is set for 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, in room 201, Lawson Hall. Registration is $50.
