Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host a free pumpkin field day Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Belleville Research Center on Illinois Route 161. The first tour gets under way at 10 a.m. Learn about varieties, herbicides, disease and insect management, cover crops and production economics.
