Michael Shields earns bachelors degree from SIUC

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Michael L. Shields, 835 E. Division St., Galva, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s College of Liberal Arts during commencement exercises Friday, May 13, at the SIU Arena.
More than 3,700 professional, graduate and undergraduate students were candidates for degrees during spring commencement exercises, Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14. Shields is the son of Theresa and Terry Shields.
