Apply now for the Roscoe Pulliam Memorial Scholarship

CARBONDALE, Ill -- The SIU Alumni Association is accepting applications for the Roscoe Pulliam Memorial Scholarship. The Association will award four $1,000 scholarships to students currently enrolled at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Children, grandchildren and siblings of current members who hold SIUC degrees may apply. You must be a full-time student (carrying at least 12 semester hours) to apply.

Three letters of recommendation must be submitted to apply for the scholarship. Two of the recommendations need to be from a clergy, SIUC faculty/staff or persons of responsibility who can account for the student's moral constitution. One recommendation needs to be from the relative holding current SIU Alumni Association membership who can attest to the student's leadership qualities. Also, the applicant must submit a copy of an SIUC financial aid award letter.

Applicants who are entering freshmen must rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school graduating class. All applicants must have a minimum score of 26 on the ACT exam or 1170 on the SAT. Enrolled students should have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 and provide a current transcript. Transfer students should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 for all colleges attended and provide all transcripts.
