Bus trip planned for Salukis-Murray State game
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki fans are invited to enjoy a bus trip to the SIUC-Murray State basketball game Dec. 28 in Murray, Ky.
The Union County Chapter of the SIU Alumni Association is sponsoring the trip. Reservations to ride the 50-passenger bus are being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. The bus will leave Hodges Furniture Store parking lot in Anna at 5:30 p.m. Game time is 9:00 p.m. The bus will return to Anna immediately following the game.
Cost for the bus ride and game ticket is $25 per person. Guests are invited to enjoy a barbecue dinner at the Keg Restaurant in Murray, located near the Arena. Dinner is not included in the reservation cost.
To make reservations, Saluki fans are invited to call George and Nancy Welborn at 618/833-6141, or the SIU Alumni Association at 618/453-2408. The Association office will close for the holidays on Dec. 23.
