Booth space still available for conference

CARBONDALE, Ill - - Booth space is still available for the annual "Women Mean Business" showcase, set for Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Carbondale Civic Center from 4 to 8 p.m.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Small Business Development Center is co-sponsoring the event. Women-owned and/or -managed businesses are eligible to reserve booth space for $25 through Sept. 25.

The showcase will feature Southern Illinois business pros, with a special presentation on identity theft by state Treasurer Judy Barr Topinka. Refreshments and entertainment will also be available.

"Women Mean Business" showcase is an opportunity for the regional community to see the success of women in business today.

Serving others by developing partnerships with area businesses is among the goals of Southern at 150: Building Excellence Through Commitment, the blueprint for the development of the University by the time it celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2019.
