SIUC offers summer food service program

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale will conduct a summer food service program for children as part of its Upward Bound program and Saluki Kids Academy.

The Upward Bound program will prepare and serve three meals a day to participants in the Student Center. Saluki Kids Academy will serve lunch to participants in the Pulliam Hall gymnasium. The programs will run from June 24 through July 29.

SIUC will serve all children enrolled in either program all meals free of charge, and no child will be discriminated against because of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap. Any person who believes that he or she has been a victim of discrimination by any U.S. Department of Agriculture-related activity should write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250.
