Campus-wide career fair set for Feb. 11
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A Feb. 11 campus-wide career fair at Southern Illinois University Carbondale offers students, alumni and interested community members a first-hand look at internship, career and graduate school possibilities.
The event, in the Student Center ballrooms, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No registration is necessary and admission is free. Job seekers should dress professionally and bring a resume.
More than 30 firms and public agencies will have representatives or drop boxes for resumes at the career day. Participating businesses are from a variety of fields, including retail, agriculture, social services, utilities, insurance and hospitality. Local, state and federal agencies also are participating.

Also this month, Career Services is hosting a Virtual Career fair at its Web site. Job applicants must register with Career Services to participate in the electronic fair, set for Feb. 13-20. Registration for current SIUC students is $5, which allows them to apply online for jobs with participating employers as well as post their resume for employer access for future openings.
