Tuesday, Jan. 20

"The Debate for the South," 7-9 p.m., Student Center Ballroom D. Six of the seven Democrats running in Illinois' March 16 U.S. Senate primary face off in a debate sponsored by the SIUC College Democrats, Egyptian Building and Construction Trades Council, Illinois NOW and the Jackson County Democratic Party. A media availability with the candidates is set for 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. in Ballroom D of the Student Center.

 

Saturday, Jan. 24

African Male Image Award banquet, 7 p.m. Student Center Renaissance Room. Father Joseph A. Brown, director of SIUC's Black American Studies Program, will receive the award during the event, which honors African-American male faculty.
