Seniors, juniors can apply for Super Student Program

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois University Alumni Association and Student Alumni Council are accepting applications for the 2004 Super Student Program. Interested seniors may apply for the Distinguished Senior Award, and juniors may submit applications for the Super Student Scholarship.

The Distinguished Senior Award goes to 25 students who enrich the University through their involvement in campus activities. In order to qualify for the honor, a student must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 and be a graduating senior who contributes to the University and Carbondale community.

The annual Super Student Scholarship is a $500 award. The scholarship honors two juniors who have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5, are currently working and are active in at least two Registered Student Organizations.

Applications are available at each of the college dean's offices and the SIU Alumni Association office, located on the second floor of the Student Center.
